Well, a lot has changed in the last year, but one thing remains the same.  The ability to read, write, spell, speak, and do basic calculations continues to be the most important skills all adults need to be good community members, employees, and parents. You cannot mask illiteracy.

As with everything, Spellebration will be different this year. Our spellers will be gathering virtually on April 30 to compete for bragging rights as the best spellers in Garfield County. Spellebration is a highly-anticipated community event featuring community spellers sponsored by businesses and individuals from all over Garfield County.  All ages will converge virtually for a high-spirited spelling competition with lots of masked characters.

As always, spectators are urged to join in on the fun, though this year their participation, too, will be virtual. Two Rivers Productions will live-stream the event on Facebook and YouTube for the audience. The costume contest, a much-loved component of the Spellebration experience, will be modified to the best mask competition.

An online auction will be held from April 29 at 10:00 a.m until May 5 at 10:00 a.m. To bid on the auction, follow this link https://www.biddingowl.com/LiteracyOutreach.
