April is National Volunteer Month. We’d like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers that are the heart and soul of Literacy Outreach.
Thanks to our 47 active volunteers, 81 people in our county today are learning a new language —and in that process, steadily transforming their experience of life and ability to participate in this community. It means the world to us that these volunteers offer their time and energy to help others live a more empowered life and build relationships across difference. Their actions help build a healthier society for all of us.
Are you a volunteer or student yourself? Please join us the evening of Tuesday, April 29 at the Glenwood Library for a special evening celebrating YOU!
Advanced English learners can participate in this weekly drop-in class at the Literacy Outreach office to practice their skills and learn new vocabulary.
Join us every Thursday at the Literacy Outreach office at 12:30 p.m.
